RENTAL TERMS
These terms are valid for rental, courses and tours for private persons.
This is included in the price:
Spray deck, PFD and paddle. Sea chart/map is possible to rent if you don’t bring one of your own.
Booking and payment:
Booking is made by by our booking form on the webside. No booking is valid until payment is done.
The booking is nonrefundable, but you can buy a cancellation insurance, valid if you or someone of your party gets ill.
Payment can be made on bank transfer or by credit card.
If you cancel your booking earlier than 21 days before departure, you get 100% refunded from the original cost, except for an administrative cost of SEK 300.
If you cancel your booking 8-20 days before departure, you get 75% refunded from the original cost.
If you cancel your booking 1-7 days in advance, you get 50% refunded from the original cost.
Cancelleing insurance:
You have the possibility to buy a cancelling insurance when booking your kayak. The price for this is SEK 100/kayak. This insurance is valid if you, or someone in your party gets ill. You will need to provide a medical certificate to get your money back.
Liability and insurance.
You need to be able to swim.
You always have to wear a PFD when you and the kayak is in the water.
If you turn late, you are obligated to let us know.
If you behave in an unsuitable way (not respecting the Right of Public Access, not wearing PFD)or commit crimes or commit breach of the rules at sea, Horisont Kajak has the right to take back all rented equipment without any refund.
Paddling with kayaks rented from Horisont Kajak is at your own risk. Paddling is like like conveying any other vessel at sea. You are responsible for paddling according to current rules. When returning the rented equipment, it shall be cleaned and in the same state as it was when you departed. If not, we will charge you for cleaning or mending the kayak.
If you damage the kayak or any other equipment, you are liable for any costs to replace or mend it.
We (Horisont Kajak) undertake to hire out kayaks and equipment in good condition who are suited to use in our surroundings.
Handing out and returning the gear.

At 10 am every day, we perform a briefing where we show how the kayaks work and present a few basic tips.
Returning the gear:
5 pm at the latest, the kayaks and rest of the gear, should be returned. Both kayak and gear should be cleaned for the next customer to use.
If you prefer not to clean your kayak, we can do it for you. This service is SEK 200/kayak. This is what we charge customers who hasn’t cleaned the gear properly.
If you return your gear later than 5 pm, we will charge you SEK 250 for every 30 minutes the gear is late.
